Easter Kojwang narrated how her employees robbed her blind.
This is what she said. By 13th Dec, I was done with work and ready to travel to the village, but for some reason, I found myself unable to commit to a date. I was feeling so uneasy, I just didn’t know why. I just couldn’t travel.
Unknown to me, Daniel Ochango and Emmanuel Mwendwa were planning to use that opportunity to steal honey and sell to our clients at throw away prices.
I remember telling both Mwendwa and Dan that they should go on leave from 22nd, but they requested not to, saying they’d rather stay back and work as they had no plans to travel and they didn’t wanna stay idle in Nairobi. Sarah was to stay back and take her leave later.
Unknown to me, Daniel and Emmanuel were waiting for an opportunity to be alone so that they could steal and sell as much honey as possible!! They even promised to give someone 180kgs on 24th December in the absence of Sarah and I.
Earlier, they had already stolen and sold in exess of 600kgs to two known Eastnat clients. The value of 600kgs of honey is 540,000, yet they sold it at a throw away price of approximately Ksh. 200 per kg, (120,000 in total) literally a fraction of my buying price.
Both thieves were arrested sometime back, they are currently calling me left right and center begging me to drop the case against them, take them back, allow them to work without pay so that they can raise the 540,000. What kind of logic is this? π€£π€£π€£
Halafu, there is Daniel Onyango Suji who’s number 0729717019 is in the chats. The one who’s late father was my father’s friend. He was my school mate at Enkasiti primary, Neighbour in kitengela. I banned him from coming anywhere near our shops or factory back in October, but he kept contacting Dan so that he could be given stolen goods from the factory, sell, and share the money with Daniel Ochango and Mwendwa.
The interesting bit is, they were doing all these using phones belonging to the business.
