Kenya Power and Lighting Company has announced that customers currently using post-paid meters should prepare to switch to prepaid meters as soon as they can.
Their reason is that they aim to reduce defaults and cut the cost of retaining meter transactions.
In the statement, (KPLC) announced that customers using postpaid meters must shift to prepaid ones.
“All rural customers will be on the prepaid metering system and will be transitioned to smart metering in the long term,”
