To the great shock and consternation of the Kenyan citizens, the Kenya Railway Services which has a monopoly on the rail system, recently announced an increase in prices effective 1st January 2024.
In a short note, they said:
Dear Esteemed Customer, please observe the adjusted fares for Madaraka Express Passenger service, Kisumu Safari train, Nanyuki Safari train and the Nairobi Commuter Service trains. The adjusted fares will take effect from 1st January 2024.
