In Múrang’a, there have been youth recruitment to the clean up of our town exercise. The youth is being paid 300 daily and a 100 bob is being channelled to the parents phone,on daily basis, working from 8am to 1pm, in provision of gumboots, gloves, coat and a gap(Ile kofia), free of charge.
The exercise period takes 2 months afterwards they get enrolled to short courses fully paid.
Now the question disturbing the recruiters is that, why youths(ladies and gentlemen) are giving their mothers number to benefit from the daily 100 bob and not the father. Sijui niwajibu aje
Sheerow Shee explains
I work with the murang’a county government and I was involved in the enrolling exercise. When we are enrolling them we ask them for one of their parents/ guardian’s number. If a youth chooses to give the mother’s number,it’s for reasons best known to them. I’m an officer in the county and I totally agree that 99%of the recruits give their mothers numbers.
Ley Mundu explained
Ask the government why even when applying for vital government services they ask for your mother’s maiden name not that of your father.
Let’s stop being petty and acknowledge the mothers and why the bucks stops with them
