Wafula and Principal Secretaries:Public Health and Professional Standards Mary Muthoni Muriuki,CBS and Principal Secretary Diaspora Affairs Roseline K. Njogu. This groundbreaking move signifies a departure from traditional practices, liberating Kenyan nurses from the necessity to undergo examinations in South Africa or India.
The establishment of the NCLEX Centre in Nairobi anticipates transformative benefits, offering a substantial reduction in examination costs by over 50%. Proactively addressing this initiative, KMTC has developed a comprehensive NCLEX Preparatory course curriculum, empowering nurses to succeed on their first attempt.
Under the visionary leadership of the Ministry of Health, collaboration with line ministries and various partners is underway to generate additional job opportunities for nurses. This aligns seamlessly with the Bottom-Up Transformation Agenda (BETA).
