There’s a village in Kenya where everyone is a YouTube content creator.
The trade was first introduced to the village by Frederick Marwa, a travel vlogger.
Many lives in the village have been touched and transformed. The biggest change can be seen through former street child turned mason turned blogger, known as Mayuguno.
However even as more people flock to Nyabohanse to learn from Marwa and buy the master course, what Marwa fails to tell them is that most of his money comes from donations.
Mwaro Peter Geoffrey sums it up
Youtube pays but most of the money comes from handouts if you not yet a big youtuber like Fredrick Marwa
Like Marwa most of the new YouTube breed in Nyabohanse always asks for monetary support in their videos.
Many netizens have complained that it is just a tad embarrassing. What will happen when the donations run out? One can only beg for so long.
