In a swift and resolute maneuver, the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) has brought to justice DJ Brown Skin, known in legal records as Michael Macharia Njiiri, who had been playing a dangerous game of hide-and-seek with law enforcement since the tragic demise of his wife.
After a prolonged pursuit marked by dogged determination, officers from Kasarani police station finally closed in on the elusive DJ on a fateful Thursday night, putting an end to his evasive maneuvers that had persisted for weeks.
The DJ had been summoned by authorities to provide a detailed account of the events leading to his wife’s untimely death.
The harrowing incident unfolded on the night of July 29 and 30 last year, when Sharon Njeri, aged 33, consumed a fatal dose of poison while the DJ captured the chilling scene on a recording device.
Confirming the apprehension, the DCI’s tweet succinctly stated, “Michael Macharia Njiiri aka DJ Brown Skin, was nabbed on Thursday night by astute sleuths stationed at Kasarani police station, after engaging them in a game of cat and mouse for several weeks.”
Adding to the gravity of the situation, a profoundly distressing video recently surfaced, offering a glimpse into the final moments of Njeri’s life.
This heart-wrenching footage, unveiled on April 1 by a prominent blogger, captured the haunting sight of Njeri ingesting the poisonous substance from a cup, all while the DJ stood by, recording the tragic scene.
Following the ingestion of the poison, Njeri collapsed onto a nearby couch, mustering the strength to bid farewell to her two children before succumbing to the fatal effects of the toxin. Shockingly, it was later revealed that the DJ had callously shared the video with his other girlfriend, who resides abroad, prior to its public dissemination.
