FORMER Special Branch James Khwatenge says George Wajackojah, who used to work in the music section of the Nyayo Torture Chambers, tapping people’s phones in the name of national security, one evening recorded a conversation between President Daniel Moi, and Nicholas Biwott.
In that telephone call, Moi told Biwott that he had brought him a lot of problems following the ruthless, inhuman murder of Robert Ouko โ Biwott shot Ouko in the head as Moi watched at Nakuru State House.
Biwott, sounding calm told Moi: “… don’t worry…I have killed all witnesses.”
Wajackoyah took the tape to some European High Commission, and sought asylum. He could not stay in the country after hearing what heard.
