Are you the Kenyan father of the year in 2023? I am afraid not. Sorry to disappoint you but that award has already been given by an overwhelming majority of Kenyan women to one Kaleb Owiro.
Obviously you’re asking, what did this guy do to deserve such a lofty title?
He stayed with his child in hospital for a week. That’s right. You heard us correctly. His child, a child whom he fathered, that is to say his biological child, this man was kind enough to sacrifice a whole week of his life to stay in the hospital.
Where was the mother you may ask? The mother had stayed in the hospital for more than two months π with the child before she forced him to take over. So why was this mother not awarded the mother of the year award? Because she didn’t speak up.
Then there was the role of Msuti, a known violent bully on Facebook streets. She lobbied hundreds of women to camp on the mother’s wall and insult her endlessly.Β This is a woman whom, even the other bully Wahome is terrified of. He once did a post about her and Msuti cried that she was being bullied.
Where were we? The public distraught at the plight of the baby stuck in hospital contributed more than 900,000 for the baby’s hospital bill. Almost 200,000 could not be accounted for. Msuti dismissively stated with utmost arrogance that 132,000 had been used for diapers.
Anyway,Β we Rafeekee only contributed 500 shillings so we have no recourse to recover the money that was wasted or missalocated between Mapua and Msuti. The money disappeared into thin air.
What is your opinion? Should funds raised by the public be accounted for? Can we raise the standards for awards? This is a new low.
