Why is Eric Omondi building a bridge in a village in Kisii, Kenya?
Eric Omondi the comedian doesn’t come from Kisii but when he watched a TikTok video and saw the plight of a little girl crossing a bridge, where she risked death daily to go to school, he posed
How do these leaders even sleep at night??? So this little girl faces death every morning. If she makes one little mis step that’s it😡, WE LOOSE HER!!! This child could lose her life just because of some GREEDY, GLATONOUS and MURDEROUS LEADER!!! I am looking for this Girl, we have to save her. We will bring her and her family to Nairobi. SHE WILL NEVER CROSS this BRIDGE OF DEATH AGAIN. Please LETS FIND HER. If you recognize this place please comment or DM the LOCATION.

Samuel Isaiah Mogere had a different proposal. He said
Ericko you always do wonderful job on this I would love you build a bridge because I believe there are other pupils who are using this pathway so the best solution is to get a better pathway so that the other pupils would use . Remember running away from a problem is not the solution but facing it. Thank you for your wonderful job.
Kemunto was soon identified by netizens. Then Eric Omondi did what he has lately become popular for. He started mobilizing the public to raise funds to build a decent bridge.
After further debate on whether the girl should be relocated or a bridge built to serve the entire village, it was agreed that the bridge was more sustainable.
Update from Eric
I’ve been in Kisii for the past 5 days working with the community to put up this Bridge. It’s not been Easy but we have been Encouraging each other. We will name this Bridge KEMUNTO after the Girl who risked her life so the whole world could hear about the BRIDGE OF DEATH. We are almost halfway. We have not been able to secure a PAYBILL yet but I want to call upon TEAM SISI KWA SISI to help us finish this Bridge through Kemunto’s father. Send whatever you can to his number 0740422465 (NAME: THOMAS ONDABU OBURE). We are only short Ksh 340,000 to finalize the Bridge.

Day 3 update from Eric
Today I witnessed a mother carrying her 3 month old baby across the “Bridge of Death” I saw children as young as 1 and a half years cross this death trap. Women balancing water Jericans while literally balancing their own lives. We found the Original Bridge but we will also build the other Bridge as well because they also need it.
