In Nairobi, Kenya, there has been recent clarification from the National Police Service (NPS) regarding widespread rumors regarding mass police recruitment scheduled for this month.
Contrary to claims made on a TikTok account named ‘Kenya National Police Service,’ which suggested a mass recruitment event on January 5th this year, the NPS has categorically stated that such information is false.
“We want to assure the public that the news circulating on social media platforms regarding the supposed recruitment into the National Police Service in January 2024 is entirely untrue,” clarified the NPS.
Citizens are urged to dismiss this misleading information, which appears to be an attempt to deceive individuals with promises of nonexistent job opportunities.
Historically, legitimate nationwide recruitment drives are announced through widely circulated newspapers and at designated recruitment centers nationwide.
It’s important to note that fraudulent individuals often exploit unsuspecting Kenyans by advertising fake recruitment drives and soliciting funds for application forms.
The most recent legitimate recruitment by the NPS took place in June of last year, with all interested applicants required to submit their applications online through the official portal at services.npsc.go.ke/recruitment.
